Heritage Makers Announces New Funding

Heritage Makers Announces New Funding
Investment Signifies Leadership in Digital Storybooking
July 25, 2007, Provo, UT - Heritage Makers, the national leader in digital storybooking announced today it has closed $1.15 million in bridge funding from a group of angel investors led by Tickle founder James Currier, serial entrepreneur Kenneth M. Woolley and T Minus 10 Ventures. Also, Kenneth T. Woolley of T Minus 10 will join the Heritage Makers Board of Directors.
Heritage Makers plans to use the financing to further advance its unique digital, web-based storybooking platform and more rapidly expand its “party plan” direct sales channel. The company reached cash flow breakeven in March 2007.
“This group of investors has a lot of experience in social networking and traditional scrapbooking,” said Christopher Lee, CEO of Heritage Makers. “They recognize the shift to the electronic scrapbooking model that is happening worldwide, but they also recognize the need for social interaction that drives the scrapbooking hobby, and that Heritage Makers is combining these two characteristics in a very unique way.”
Heritage Studio, Heritage Makers’ online storybooking program, contains everything necessary to construct a storybook -- backgrounds, borders, clip art, powerful text and photo editing tools and more. Users can create their own storybook, all the way through to high-quality hardbound printing, through the Heritage Makers’ website. Heritage Makers products and services are sold through independent sales representatives who demonstrate beautiful storybooks and the storybooking process to their clients.

Heritage Makers invited to be in O Magazine!!!

Heritage Makers invited to be in O Magazine

Since our inception, Heritage Makers has received favorable press around the country. In our earliest days, our products appeared in Redbook and on the CBS Early Show. In more recent months, we've been mentioned in a variety of newspapers, local television and internet sites from California to Florida. Last fall, we were featured prominently in the Photo Marketing Association trade magazine. Earlier this summer we were among a select group of on-demand publishers reviewed favorably in Creative Keepsake's Digital Scrapbooking magazine.
We expect that Heritage Makers will continue to receive attention and accolades from the national press. Recently we were contacted by Oprah's O Magazine for a possible mention on the O List, one of the most sought-after honors for a new product, with one of the most powerful women in entertainment and business. While it is not a good idea to put the cart before the horse, and publications always maintain the right to shift their features—even up to the last minute—we are hopeful that Heritage Makers will be featured this fall in the magazine. We are preparing our website and our production capacity to manage the rush of interest that this type of feature might generate.
This invitation from O Magazine is a major "stamp of approval" for both the mission of Heritage Makers and the products and opportunity we provide. Understandably, this has created much buzz among consultants, clients, and prospects. We encourage you to exercise discretion as you express your enthusiasm about this possibility. We repeat our warning to you; although we do expect to be included in the fall issue, with all forms of media there are no guarantees.
We are mindful that this is just the beginning for Heritage Makers. We also want to remind you about Heritage Makers’ policy for consultant press. We require any consultant being interviewed by a local newspaper, radio, television or internet media outlet to first contact the home office. Any broad regional or national medial outlets will be coordinated by the home office. Consultants who do not adhere to this policy are subject to sanctions, up to and including termination, so please help us manage our growth responsibly by informing us ahead of time when the press wants to hear our story!
This old Album

Brush the dust off this old album, look inside
at photographs of loved ones from the past.
Their faces soft, serene, some full of pride,
Share hopeful smiles, that life and love will last.

What secrets did they carry in their hearts?
Were hopes and dreams pursued or locked away,
Buried deep, forgotten prisoners of their time
replaced with courage to face the future day by day.

Perhaps I see a familiar twinkle in someone’s eye,
A grandfather’s look reflected in a grandson’s smile.
These are my roots, a legacy of love passed on
In hopes I’ll keep their dreams alive awhile.

Where are the words? Oh how I long to hear
Their voices ringing from the written page-
Their thoughts expressed, to me, would be so dear
A treasured gift to share from age to age
sidnie may
