Tips & Tricks with Studio 2.0

TIPS 'N TRICKS

CREATING PHOTO EFFECTS AND EDGES

Paper scrapbookers often give their photos a distressed or worn look (sometimes called "antiquing") by sanding and/or staining their photos. You can create that same look in Heritage Studio Drag & Drop system by using overlays (transparencies).

The Peppermint Kisses transparency gives a sanded or brushed effect on the outer portions of the picture. The transparency's original color is pink, but you can use the Fill Color feature to make it any color you'd like.

The Whatever Grunge overlay gives the entire photo a brushed, worn look. The overlay's texture is in gray and tan which does darken your picture. But, again, you can choose a lighter color from the Fill Color palette which lighten the entire photo.

The Ochre Winfrey Inked Edges transparency gives the edges of your photo a burned or antique look.
