YOUNG AUTHORS' CONTEST

WHAT'S IN A NAME? EVERYTHING!
Our names define us. Our names are our past, present, and future.What's in your name? That's what we'd like to find out! Introducing, the Young Authors' Contest. Designed especially with your kids in mind.This is your chance to let your kids explore their creative sides. From January 9 to February 29, 2008 we are looking for stories from young authors about what it means to be a member of your family.Get your kids to write a story and enter the storybook into this fun contest!

THE CONTEST
Here's how it works:
Stories are to be authored in a 5 x 7 or 8 x 8 storybook.
Stories must be about what it means to be a member of your family. For example: What it means to me to be a Smith.
Participants must be between the ages of 8-17.
Submit a complete copy of the Young Authors' Contest application by February 29, 2008.Winners will be announced March 31.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STORIES

Complete story using Studio 2.0 Drag and Drop.
Go to "completed projects" in your Studio account.
Select "send to a friend" on the project(s).
Enter 286004 and click "verify account."
Select "transfer."
Print the submission form and have a parent or guardian sign.
Fax signed submission form to Heritage Makers, Attn: Young Authors' Contest, at (801) 437-8001.By submitting your stories for this contest you agree to the contest terms and conditions.

THE RULES

YOUNG AUTHORS' CONTEST TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By submitting your storybook for this contest you agree to the contest terms and conditions as described below:1. Author represents and warrants that (a) the storybook is an original work, except to the extent that the storybook contains excerpts, illustrations, or photos from other works or from third parties, in which case, Author shall have, at Author's expense, obtained permission for the use of such excerpts, illustrations, or photos from the copyright owner(s); (b) Author has the right to convey all the rights to the storybook to Heritage Makers, and (c) the storybook contains no unlawful material, and does not and will not infringe upon or violate any copyright, trademark secret, or other right or the privacy of others.2. Author hereby grants and assigns Heritage Makers the right to (a) modify, use or display this storybook for its own promotional purposes and (b) publish and republish the storybook as needed.3. All submissions must be accompanied by a permission form signed by a parent and/or guardian. Submission forms must be faxed to Heritage Makers, Attn: Young Author's Contest, (801) 437-8001.4. Heritage Makers shall have the right to use Author's name, likeness and/or biographical data in connection with any submitted storybook.All submitted storybooks are subject to these terms and conditions regardless of their selection as a winning storybook.
